Sr. Director, Revenue Cycle EMR Implementation

JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Director Revenue Cycle EMR Implementation will be a pivotal player in delivering the next generation EMR system at WMCHealth. The Senior Director will collaborate as a member of the Program Leadership Team to effectively manage the EMR Implementation Program. The Senior Director ensures the Revenue Program is on the correct planning path and timing schedule, and has the visibility and support necessary to successfully implement. This individual will assist in guiding the Revenue Project Team through the implementation process, and is the central contact person for the Revenue Program implementation. The Senior Director is accountable and responsible for ensuring success of the Revenue Program implementation.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with upper management to assist, define, and document high level program target dates and projects across a 1-3 year roadmap.
Guides the project team through the design, build, and implementation phases of the Revenue Project.
Serves as the central contact person for the Revenue Program to ensure that a common vision, plan, and goal are maintained across all areas of the project, and communicates regularly with Revenue business leaders.
Provides regular status reporting, and issues escalation and resolution to the Access and Revenue Application Director and Program Director.
Promotes the new systems and represents it positively to the user community.
Directs, guides, and mentors the Revenue Team, IT, and leads.
Conducts regular status meetings with the Revenue Team with IT, and represents the Revenue Team through participation in regular status meetings with the Program Leadership Team.
Leads multi-discipline teams through weekly project meetings to ensure complete transparency and management of progress, decisions made, decisions needed, and action times.
Facilitates concurrent projects, from conception through final implementation, that are targeted toward specific revenue cycle improvements.
Develops and maintains detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
Proactively identifies and recommends opportunities for revenue improvement and optimization through monitoring of revenue cycle performance metrics and communication with departmental leaders.
Assists in the development and implementation of tools to measure the effectiveness of the revenue cycle within the health system.
Directs analytical resources to provide the necessary data and reporting within the agreed upon time frames, including providing data for executive decisions.
Designs and creates appropriate business case cost estimates and ROI to support Revenue Cycle initiatives.
Identifies project risks, and takes appropriate actions to mitigate them.
Reports and escalates material findings to the Sr. Revenue Cycle Director, and facilitates the development and implementation of action plans required to achieve the desired targets.
Proactively recommends opportunities for revenue improvement and optimization through monitoring of revenue cycle performance metrics, and communication with departmental leaders.
Maintains strict adherence to the WMC Health Confidentiality policy.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or healthcare administration required; advanced degree preferred Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience managing and leading projects. Experience and working knowledge of hospital, physician, and ambulatory care billing and collection operations. Deep knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle, seasoned in designing workflows and implementing systems. Strong organizational skills, works effectively in a multi-task environment, prioritizes tasks properly, and completes tasks and projects in a timely manner. Experience with Epic and/or Cerner revenue cycle systems. Leadership Knowledge/Skills:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
