The Staffing Resource Coordinator will be an important link between our field staff and hospital units. Through extensive phone contact, a variety of administrative duties, problem solving and data input, your main focus will be staffing facility units by obtaining employee availability and matching/scheduling employees to open shifts.

The purpose of the Resource Coordinator is to right staff the nursing units and or any other unit designated with competent, caring, personnel that meet the expected standards set forth by WMC. This position interacts daily with all levels of nursing and administrative staff.

  • Communicate with prospective and active employees on a daily basis
  • Works with the Program Manager and WMC core staff to fill open needs
  • Takes requests from the client to proactively fill needs
  • Makes client/employee contact to monitor satisfaction and services
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with nurse managers, supervisors and administrative staff
  • Maintains employee files to follow client and Joint commission practices
  • Handles administrative duties and provides back-up support with additional functions as required
  • Determines needs of prospective employees and communicates to respective personnel
  • Is flexible with work hours and understands that the resource center is a 24/7 operation
  • Performs other functions as required and trained to perform
  • Communicate with prospective and active employees
  • Provides assistance to hospital staff, patients and their families /visitors, providing information and directions
  • Sets up, maintains, duplicates, tracks, matches and purges records and files in accordance with established procedures
  • Reviews charts and forms for completeness and accuracy and makes necessary changes
  • Completes and processes forms, form letters and other records and charts, in accordance with established procedures
  • Distributes Patient Rights booklets, informs patients of same and ensures documentation
  • Reviews charts to identify Advance Directive completion and follows up to ensure timely submission of form as defined by regulation
  • Uses computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, email and database software in performing work assignments
  • Communicates with other hospital divisions
  • May keep time and attendance records of staff as requested
  • May collect payment for fees and issue receipts
  • Maintains communication centers such as bulletin boards

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
