Medical Receptionist / Certified Medical Assistant

WIHD is seeking a Medical Receptionist with a certification in Medical Assisting in their Adult Health Services department. In addition to regular responsiblities, other tasks include clerical functions, supply ordering, appointment scheduling, and other duties be assigned.
Requirements/Qualification for Consideration:
Certifications: MUST be Certified or Registered as both a Medical Assistant

Responsibilities:
Scheduling clients, greeting and checking clients in and managing client activities using electronic medical record
Confirming clients, interacting with transportation company
Answering telephone and directing calls
Obtain charts for the next day's clinics to ensure quality provision of care.
Route the day's charts to appropriate provider's exam rooms to maintain smooth clinic flow.
Process charts for the following day according to the clinic procedure indicated.
Prepare patients for visit to assigned provider/clinic. Assist with collection of specimens. Obtain height, weight, vital signs, temperatures, in assigned clinics.
Set up and assist assigned clinics including medical, dermatology, podiatry, physical medicine and rehab.
Document appropriate information in patient records.
Clean and sterilize instruments following each clinic.
Knowledge of: Health care delivery in an outpatient setting and understanding of safety procedures followed to prevent spread of infectious diseases.
Kind and Length of
Experience: High School Diploma. Excellent computer skills. Secretarial or receptionist experience a must. Experience with care of individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
