Are you ready to make your mark on the industry? Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a dynamic leader with an entrepreneurial drive who is eager to develop business opportunities, manage clients, and help to grow our Traffic Engineering team in the New York region.
This person should be a skilled Professional Traffic Engineer who has experience winning and managing transportation projects for the large NY agencies including NYSDOT.
You would join a large, established team of transportation engineers in New York and leverage their skills, resources, and robust backlog to further build our traffic engineering, operations, and ITS service lines.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to some of the region's most exciting projects at iconic facilities.
This person will be responsible for the growth, enhancement, and diversification of existing traffic engineering services in the state with a major focus on NY agency work.

Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
Building and Leading Project Design TeamsProject Team Workload and Backlog ManagementManage project budgets and work schedulesMentorship of staff including training and development Project Technical Duties:
Manage select agency contractsLead design decision-making on various project tasksProvide Quality Control and adherence to Company Standard ProceduresProvide clear and effective client communicationsAccountable for project performance (revenue, profitability, write-offs, billings, and collections) Business Development:
Assist in the pursuit of project opportunities with clientsPrepare proposals including technical approach development and pricingParticipate in outside organizations, events, conferencesMarket company services
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 Years' Experience Professional Engineering License in New York (with the ability to apply for comity in other states)Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) license preferredExperience with NYSDOT standards and processes Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of traffic engineering (including traffic signal design, signing, striping, traffic control, ITS, and safety improvements) on state, county, and municipal facilitiesIn-depth knowledge of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control DevicesAbility to manage multiple projects at one timeAbility to lead and manage staffEffective written and communication skillsCompensation:
