Summary:
Westchester Medical Center a Level One Trauma Center is seeking candidates that have a high level of analytical skills to work within the Support Services Department.
Individuals need to be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
Individuals will need to be able to format and manipulate large amounts of data pulling from various sources to then compile into reports to present to management.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Responsibilities:
Reviews all Personnel Action Forms to ensure allocation availability and funding accuracy.
Collaborates with Budget Department for determination of position funding.
Track and manage timeline of various capital planning projects and initiatives.
Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure that capital inputs and documentation deadlines are met.
Evaluate and oversee contracted services and perform appraisals.
Effectively frame critical issues and propose work plans to influence strategic planning.
Use contemporary expertise to question, review and solve hindrances to the improvement of hospital support services operations, which include:
outsourced arrangements, purchased services, and contract negotiations.
Perform policy review and revision to influence best practice standards.
Perform Ad hoc project management.
Conduct environment of care rounds to document any deterrents to the physical environment.
Perform monthly nursing partnership meetings; listen to nursing needs and solve any pertinent issues and propose new practices.
Work with different software to pull, interpret, and compare data.
Use data analysis to diagnose deficiencies in operations.
Analytic support for clinical analyses to improve the management of care Ongoing decision support in support of operational improvement efforts and business analysis and development.
Routine reporting to monitor success of improvement efforts.
Support of the balanced scorecard program and related reporting.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
3 years of relevant professional work experience with a bachelor's degree; 1-2 years with an advanced degree, required.
Familiarity with support services divisions and processes.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, public health, or a related field, required.
Advanced university degree, preferred.
