Summary:
Under the general direction of the SVP, Development for WMCHealth, the Regional Gift Officer/Northern Region will develop, implement, and manage fundraising programs that lead to increasing support for WMCHealth through the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of current and prospective donors.
Specifically, the Regional Gift Officer/Northern Region will build and develop resources to support MidHudson Regional Hospital, HealthAlliance Hospital and Margaretville Hospitals (the Northern Region).
Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the SVP/Development, and regional hospital leadership, develop and establish short and long-term fundraising goals and strategies for existing and prospective donors.
Duties will include cultivating individual giving, and support of Network and local strategies for corporate giving, special event fundraising and fundraising initiatives.
Cultivate donor support with a focus on identified institutional priorities through multiple channels including face to face personal solicitation, direct mail, e-communications.
Assist in identifying annual giving prospects who have the capacity for major gift support and work to develop donor outreach and relationships as appropriate.
Develop, manage, and expand a portfolio of donors.
Identify new prospects, create donor strategies, and engage with the Network Development team to promote effective stewardship activities.
Participate in individual board member engagement for the purpose of growing the board, encouraging board participation and managing fundraising opportunities.
Work to support the annual giving, direct mail, and third-party activities.
Attend, support and participate in all WMCHealth Network special events, including nights and weekends as necessary.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
3 - 5 years of related experience in annual gift fundraising; healthcare experience preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Licenses / Certifications:

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external constituents.
Ability to communicate effectively using a high level of written and oral communication skills, persuasiveness, imagination and insight, as evidenced by the ability to present the aims and objectives of the development program in a manner that effectively informs and persuades others.
Knowledge of and technically familiar with traditional and innovative fundraising programs; skill and ability to work with faculty and staff members to identify needs consistent with the vision of the institution.
Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs preferred.
Recommended Skills Analytical Communication Fundraising Health Care Imagination Innovation Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
